Tracking Oil and Gas Spills on Public Lands
Beehive Research is the lead research firm for a public lands conservation group in the American West. As part of the group’s advocacy for responsible use of public lands, Beehive developed a monthly tracking product that provided detailed information about spills associated with oil and gas development in two western states. The product quickly became a resource regularly used by other advocates, members of the press, and policymakers, and is routinely cited by government officials.

Preventing Illegal Gun Sales
Beehive Research was hired by a gun safety group to build the case for the launch of a new merchant category code for credit card transactions to identify gun sales at stand alone gun stores. Our work successfully laid the groundwork for the approval of the code by the International Standards Organization, making it possible for banks and payment networks to catch illegal gun transactions without interfering with legal gun sales.
